O WLTP, com o seu equivalente NEDC Correlacionado, é o novo teste oficial da UE utilizado para calcular valores de CO₂ e de consumo de combustível normalizados para veículos de passageiros. Mede o consumo de combustível, o consumo de energia, a autonomia e as emissões. Foi concebido para proporcionar valores mais próximos dos obtidos com comportamentos de condução reais. Testa os veículos com equipamento opcional e com um procedimento de teste e um perfil de condução mais rigorosos.
